The Record Hunter: Hinson Motorsport's 2,250 hp C5
Such a stock looking car should have no business being as powerful as this. And yet, here we are. A C5/C6 Corvette pushing enough boost to jump start a hurricane all while looking as modest as any late model sports car can.
Hinson Motorsports built this car, presumably, to avenge the death of it's brother at the Texas Mile last year. The driver was fine, but the car went into a roll at 230 mph. This car was intended to compete last March, but they weren't able to get enough testing done in time. They'll have the chance to attack the record again later this year in October.
