C7 transformed into contemporary art piece
As crazy at it seems considering the heat I’ve given some custom C7s, I really, really like this one. In addition to the fact it was used to raise money for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, I think it’s a pretty cool-looking C7.
Hand-painted by three Corvette designers, the car is essentially a piece of art on wheels accented by a wild mix of paint choices that I’m sure would have had most Corvette fans cringing before seeing the finished work.
Now the “performance art car”, as it is called, is the buzz of the art world. Also, just in case you are wondering, the car was wrapped in vinyl for the painting, so the C7’s authentic beauty is still intact.
