First 2015 Corvette Goes for $400,000 at Barrett-Jackson

Remember that first production model of the 2015 Corvette crossing the blocks at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas that I said we all should chip in to buy here?

Well, it looks like we would’ve needed to pull together a little under half a million to even be in the running … not that I ever expected us to really pull it off. Hey, I figured it was worth a try.

Either way, it’s a wrap now with some lucky bidder putting up $400,000 to drive away with the white C7 coupe bearing the VIN No. 001.

No word yet on who the official buyer was for the car. However, with all the funds raised going to CARE House of Oakland County (Michigan), which is a shelter for abused children, it’s good to know it’s all for a worthy cause.
