Very few people would say that the LT1 engine in the C7 Corvette sounds bad, but that doesn’t mean that the growl and burble from that V8 can’t be improved. The aftermarket exhaust scene for the new Stingray is blowing up, and one of the coolest I have seen so far is the Akrapovič Evolution Titanium system. This lightweight exhaust adds an extra snap and pop to the exhaust that takes your Corvette to 11.

Corvette Forum member dcowles posted a cool video (see below) that shows off the exhaust, and the install even included a retrofit of the standard C7’s bypass valves. The result is a car that sounds almost exactly like a stock Corvette right up until they open the valve. Once the bypass is cleared, the car gets a deep and angry burble that is much lower and meaner than any stock Corvette system. Once the throttle gets added to the mix, the noise is incredible. It may make you weep with joy a little bit, so have a tissue handy. And make sure that volume is turned up friends.

Of course the exhaust is also beautiful to look at, thanks to its cool flared and carbon covered tips.
