It’s no debate that the C7 Chevrolet Corvette was a great departure from its predecessors. Both inside and out, it was an entirely new and upgraded beast. It’s been a huge success, and it’s one of those cars that just gets better-looking every single time you see one. Still, there will always be those who envision a car, no matter how popular, in a different dress.

Swedish-based design firm Zolland Design AB has created some of the most intriguing digital renderings in the past few years. Bo Zolland and his team focus on both boats and cars, and have offered up some wild takes on classic cars like the Volvo P1800 or the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. But this time, they retroed a modern classic, instead of the other way around.

There’s not much information on the renderings that were posted on Zolland’s Facebook page, but there was one note saying that it’s an imagination of the C7 made to look more like the 1964 Corvette Stingray. As you can see, this comes through with the exaggerated shark nose and overhanging angular rear, complete with chrome bumpers. The spoke wheels and rear gas cap finish off the package.

So, what do you think? Is this a custom package you’d buy?
