It's always sweet the first time an engine makes noise.

1 stock blew when i added the wing and 4 315s cavitated the oil pump
2 28 thousand dollar pro built race engine went after oil issues at road atlanta. after 2 days builder didnt remove bypass on oil cooler adapter the higher pressure sent oil throught the bypass eliminating the cooler and accusump..
3 1o thousand dollar rebuild ran well untill water pump gear came apart and throught the motor..nelson ledges 4 events
4 upon purchase of a new block and rotating assembly the engine builder said theres no way those stock valves will hold up any longer.we got manley ss valves ran 6 events and one of those hd valves snaped in half ..mid ohio killed this one
5 after cooling issues with the previos motors decided to go back to the stock pump got almost 10 events when the cam gear came apart again nelsonledges nasa event killed this one
6 built from the remnance of number 5 built for when i was going to race with nasa bearings didnt set right i guess 3 de's and boom nelsons killed this one.
7 this one! new block new rotating assembly new computer, new custom built radiator to replace the ron davis (PEICE OF SH**) rebuilt the canton oil pan (still leaks PEICE OF SH**)new msd opti and bbk throttle body (these peices were stolen by a co-worker of this engine builder at his day job) he is a fellow driver and wanted to build me an engine i said sure (he couldnt do any wose than the high dollar pro guys that dont know any thing) he went over everything and found some problems long push rods , valve issues. he took the baffels out of the oil pan and found a pound of metal hiding in it.. im sure no other builder did that.. im still weary of the electric water pump but mabe the new rad big dual 1 core with an improved air flow system under construction will help..WOOW THAT WAS PAINFULL AND BROUGHT BACK BAD MEMORIES!!! WISH ME LUCK WITH THIS ONE ITS MY LAST TRY!!

Yeah, but this is a bit extreme, don't you think? What kind of output will the final version have? Wasn't there an easier/more stock option?

Congrats and good luck with this one!

Yikes that's some bad luck!

Check my build thread, for what this cost its been very fast. Just converted to E85 and should be in the 11's. So far there has been more power, less cost, less knock, and more timing.
