Under dash pictures?
I need to see some pictures of the dash wiring for a 1971. I have the dash out and would like to make sure I have the wiring routed correctly before putting the lower dashes back in.
I took the fuse block out and am trying to figure out how to get it back in place (lots of wires) because it doesn't look like it will go back in place with all the wires there.

I think the drawings in the Assembly Instruction Manual are the most help in routing the dash wireing harness. Photos with the dash pads out don't /can't really show how the harness lays and of course with the pads in place you can't see what you need to know. ?!?!?

Also, how about filling out your profile so we know where you are and what you have.

Harness Repair
Taking out the fuse block is nothing. Bubba stripped out the center bolt in mine so I had to take the fuse block out and transfer each individual wire to another plastic housing which by the way, I bought a used plastic housing at the local boneyard from an old 72 Nova for five bucks. They are the same and a whole lot cheaper than buying a whole new corvette harness.

I've got a ton of pictures of the dash wiring on my website @ www.corvette-restoration.com
This is the first update dealing with the dash disassembly.

Good luck! I have other pictures if you need something specific.

Thanks for the pics.
I appreciate all the responses. I figured out where my confusion was coming from--the guy that I had chase all the wiring to make sure everything was okay unwound all the tape on the harness, so I was looking at a bunch of wire and trying to figure out how it all fit. I will get to work on bundling the main harness the way it should be and that should help with placement.
By the way, I filled out my proflie and included a pic of my car as the avitar.
Thanks again,
Tim

Tim,
71s are my favorites. Next time maybe you could find one that's a nice BRIGHT color.
