I'm installing my wiper door on the 72 and I just installed a new wiper motor and not sure the arm that goes on the motor main shaft with a nut is attached in the right direction since it goes on either way . With the motor in the car in the parked position does the shaft point up or down. It looks like it should point down to clear the cross shaft for the wiper door. There was no wiper motor in the car for reference when I bought the car.

Ya I think it might Mooser because in your picture it shows the lever going the opposite direction toward the drivers side although mine is pointing slightly up facing the passenger side. Thanks , I will try to reverse the lever in the morning.

Hi,
On my 71 the lever points to the driver's side in the park position also as Mooser's does.

Hi Alan , Thanks for responding. So with your picture it does show that it should point toward the drivers side also so mine is on backward and pointing slightly toward the top and hitting the cross bar for the wiper door. Always quick responses on this forum. Thanks again to both of you.
