Default WTB: Birdcage rocker and pillar for a 69

Hi all. I’m looking for a good set (left and right sides) of channel rocker and door latch pillar birdcage sections for my father-in-law’s 69 Vette. It seems when I’ve seen channel rocker sections on ebay, they’re specific for other years. So I’m not sure what’s different or if other years will work but maybe someone can chime in and confirm. If you have good ones that you want to get rid of please let me know. Thanks!

You can purchase new ones from places like Paragon or ZIP. Might be difficult to find 69 rocker channels in good shape. Also that is a tough job to get done. The B pillar is another hard one. Paragon & Zip sell the lower section also. Most work like that get done by separating the body from the birdcage.
Good Luck

Thanks for the response! I've checked ZIP and Paragon and I see they sell rocker channel inserts but I did not see any door latch pillars. There is some on ebay though. The body has been removed from the birdcage. We probably bit off more than we can chew but might as well keep moving forward at this point.

I agree, my restore I wanted an original clip instead of the after market one. Learned fast how to remove one off my donor car after removing the one on the car. A lot of fun (not). Yours maybe even more intense. Take pictures when you can.

Hi r,
I don't know if you're looking for new or used birdcage sections?
The source for new birdcage parts is Caledonia Classic Cars in Belding Michigan.
They now have all the pieces required to make complete birdcages available for sale
I see their display at Carlisle each summer and they appear to have beautiful parts.
They don't have a website but do have a very complete catalogue.
You might want to contact them about your latch pillars.
Phone616) 794-5026
Regards,
Alan

Thanks for the info Alan. It doesn't matter if its new or used as long as its better than what we have, which shouldn't be too hard. I've seen Caledonia mentioned in a few other threads. I'll give them a call and see what they have. I've had a couple forum members hit me up with used ones as well.
