Default Front End Alignment

I am wanting to get my 77 aligned since I had it all apart. It drives fine but I wanted to get it done professionally. I checked with a couple of alignment places and they said their books didnt go back to 77 but if I had the factory spec's they could do the work. Can anyone post all the alignment specs. Thanks

Take it to a Chevy dealership. They do alignments on Corvettes all the time and know how to do them. You can even call a local Corvette club to see which dealership they use....or they might recommend another alignment place that specializes in Corvettes. Stay away from the 'generic' alignment places if you don't know for sure that they have good experience with doing Corvettes. Also, make sure that you have fuel tank 1/2 to 3/4 full; you'd like them to align it with the weight you will normally see in the car (some even have "driver weight" bags they put in the driver's seat).

What kind of aligner do they have? A modern digital unit should have the specs in memory, and they should have the earlier spec book, anyway.

Toe is a total number across the car (1/2 for each wheel). Camber and caster are listed at the number you want on each wheel.

Sorry, JP, but I'm no alignment expert. But that info is put out by Vette Brakes and I'm sure if you call Gary, he'll be glad to help you.

Thanks Batman - That's what I thought but figured it was better to ask than assume.
