69-75 Teak Steering Wheel?
Dr. Rebuild offer a teak steering wheel for 69-75 Vettes (p.154 in the catalog) for $589.
Was a teak wheel even offered for cars of this era? I thought 68 was the last year for teak.
I really like the look, but would it be considered blasphemous to put one in a '71?
Thanks

Teak wheels were not offered as a factory option in any C3. The '68 wheel was a wood-look plastic wheel and was standard, as I recall. That was the only year for that item. From '69 until the leather-wrapped wheels were introduced, only the black plastic wheels were available.

I've owned a 66 vert, my first 74 was in 75 and now this one I bought in 2,000. I don't know if the wheel is teak but everyone says it's original. As far as I'm concerned the wheel is to skinny and the diameter is to big. Big difference between the Vette and my Subaru.

Hi drs,
I agree with 7T1.
The 16" plastic (wood) steering wheel was standard for 68. In 69 the steering wheel was changed to 15" and the rim was grained, black vinyl.
Regards,
Alan
