1969 Wiper Problems
Ok, so my wipers will not go all the way down. i have adjusted them until there is NO more adjustment. It has a new wiper motor so there is plenty of power. It not a big distance, only about an inch that is needed. Right now, when you turn off the wipers the door actually closes on the passenger side blade. which is fine, but if it loses vacuum for any reason, the door is pushed up from the pressure that the blade puts on it.

Hi r&r,
It sounds like perhaps your wiper motor isn't going to the 'park' position. If you take a look at the help section of the WILLCOX site you'll see quite a bit of information on testing wiper motors.
The other thing that comes to mind is, is it possible that the wiper saftey switch in the wiper bay at the right side wiper is mis-mounted enough to prevent the wipers from going all the way to the park position?
Regards,
Alan

Do you have slop in the transmission or at the motor bell crank? Also, do you have the correct size blades on the car. I've seen the wrong blades on cars cause interference when closing.

Ernie , I can't remember but can the arm go on the trans at only one spot on 69s ? I know later models only go on 1 way.
Also r&r are adjusting the drivers blade to go down snug first ?
