Default Spreader bar for you BigBlock guys!

Hi all!

Today I´m back from holiday and so I could finish the spreader bar for my BigBlock Vette.
I didn´t want to remove the fan or somesthing else, so I had to make a spreader bar by my own brand.

The first thing to do is to move the fan towards to the cooler as much as possible. I made spacer that moves the fan about 30mm.

Spacer:

Then the bar itself with in stainless steel Ø22mm and the weld-on plates:

And here the final spreader bar already welded, painted and assembled together:

It´s verry close to the pulleys but there is enough space that the bar don´t touch anything.
Due tue bad weather I couldn´t make a testdrive but the following days I think I can test it.

Regards, Günther

Looks good. First spreader on a BB car w/engine mounted fan I've seen. ...and "they" said it couldn't be done.

That is a work of art! Very nice job. It's a shame it's hidden under the hood.
Now we need a road test report.

Hi!
Today I could make a testdrive. (I think) I could feel that the car is a little bit stiffer on the front end and steering response is a little bit better. The handling at all became better. It´s not that big improvement, but I can recommend this upgrade.

Regards, Günther
