Default Paint bubbles

I spray painted a c3 fender after sanding the original paint. The paint developed small bubbles after several months in one small area.
What causes this?
Thanks in advance.

Did you by chance do any body repairs/priming before painting?

The reason I ask is possibly the "repair" is "venting" and trying to come through the paint. Certain paints work with certain primers and fillers.

Something between the old paint and the new.

I'd say it didn't have a good sealer coat before paint. Keeps ugly things like pimples from popping up. Can you color sand them and polish it out? Base coat/ Clear coat? At least it's just a fender.

NUMEROUS things can cause this.

The list is long and has a lot to do with the prep and cleaning before you shot it and the condition of the paint you were shooting on or if it was primed and with what type of primer you used.
