Give me a cam
So I am going to install a cam on my mildy modded car. No, no head or any other changes. Just a cam and have it retuned by pcmforless.com
What cam will give me that lopey sound on a stock top end TPI.

Ive got a Lunati VooDoo 60101 to go int omy moderately modded 85's engine...Ive been told by a tuner very popular on this as well as other forums that the 60101 is about as aggressive a cam as can be used and still have a tunable idle with no ill effects on driveability.
Ive been told the idle will be noticeable, but not lopy.
Even a 60103 isnt "lopy".

If you have a stock tpi, a lopey cam isn't in your best interest. You want a short duration cam to enhance the torque of the manifold. With a stock tpi, I would consider a LPE 211 cam, or a cam with less than 214 duration@.050. A big cam will give up torque, and try to make power way beyond what a stock tpi will allow it to run to. You need to match the cam to the intake manifold.
Edit: I didn't see your last post, I was posting at the same time. But those cam specs look good for what you are doing.

pcmforless will get you in the ballpark.I would want to check it on a chassis dyno to make sure it was'nt too rich/lean.

If you take it to a dyno have them print out your A/F ratio graphs and send them with your chip back to PCMforless. They will retune it closer for free.

What year is your car? The reason I ask is the Voodo cam is a flat tappet design, if your engine is a roller design then you should buy a roller. (1987 and newer are roller)
