Default 92 LT1 code 32 after engine gets to op temp

My 92 LT1 SES light will come on after I have been driving a while and the engine temp gets above 165, more or less. The only code set is 32 for the EGR.

Would this be caused by the EGR valve, the solenoid or a vacuum leak?

The cats were burned out and rattling really bad so they are no longer there. Can the reason be that without them the exhaust system back pressure is not enough to allow the EGR to work correctly.

It does not seem to effect performance.

Some focus in on the EGR and say change the EGR valve. I tend to go with the EGR relay because it is electrical and if not operating properly will set a code.

You can pull it out and check the relay, put 12 volts to it, check the flow and see if it works. Sometimes they are electrically good but valve hangs open.

Or just replace the EGR relay.

Is the solenoid the relay you are refering to?

Any of the above.
Code is for a failure of the ECM to see the EGR valve operate when it is commanded to
