Yes, me too.

And preferably from long term users, not post count '1'-type users.

I don't have one but a couple members that had them were disappointed with then just like I was with the Chandler. I feel you get what you pay for. I am now a firm believer of the vented opti. I believe the Sac City optis are made by AIP.

I've been running one for about 2.5 years, seems to work fine. Not a ton of miles, maybe a few thousand.

I had to replace my water pump last week so I decided to change my original 70k mile opti out even though it worked fine. I installed an AIP which is what they sell.

The car would barely start and then ran like crap. It wasn't drivable. I ended up pulling it back out and cannibalizing the cap and rotor to put on my original Opti.

After reinstalling the original it ran as smooth as it always had. I learned my lesson.

Gee, that story sounds oddly familiar...
I had the exact same outcome.

Default opti reliability

since there seems to be ongoing problems with the opti s, and it does not seem to follow any one make, I was wondering if there was a study of the major hi performance engine builders around the country . would be interesting what there preferences would be.
