Default C5 Repair Book?

I have always used the Haynes branded books for my other cars but it appears that they do not have one available for the C5. What repair manual do you use?

Another source for the official service manual is Ebay. I bought mine a couple of years ago - very slightly used for less than 50% of the cost new. Another place to look is right here on the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted forum. People are moving up to C6's all the time, and more than likely will want to sell their service manuals.

Great info here...

I just emailed Gene and he got back to me right away with how to order. But he mentioned "books"... plural... so how does this work? Is there just so much detail that it takes multiple books, or are there separate books for different areas of the car?

Ordering instructions for those who are curious.. start at www.gmpartshouse.com.

We've made it pretty simple to order a Helms Manual. On the front page, click where it says click here to enter part number search. At the next page use part number helmsmanuals under Chevrolet make and click get parts. At the next screen add it to your cart. As you're checking out you'll find a comments section. In the comments section enter the year, make and model of your vehicle. That's it! It takes us approx 4-5 business days to receive them and then we'll ship them out to you.
