[Z06] Third gear power C5z06

Third gear power C5z06
Is it me or does third gear really feel strong?
I can be running at about 4k rpm in third and floor it and man does the car pull hard.
For some reason it just feels like third gear is a beast. I wonder if its just a sweet spot for the motor. Anybody else feel the same about third gear?

Yes it is. I cant imagine anything any faster 70 to 100. Im sure alot of cars are but damn ny c5z pulls hard. I think a cam and headers are next. I will have to take baby steps though to learn the new power.

Drifting
I personally think 2nd gear pulls harder but yes 3rd gear pulls hard too.
And I thought my bolt-on Z pulled hard to until I drove a C6 ZR1. After that my Z felt slow.

I think all the gears pull hard but 3rd is when I get the feeling that the car is really starting to move... as stated above, with a turbo or blower it's super fun

Yeah I agree third is when it really gets moving. I just cant imagine anything faster on the streets. I have heard guys say that 600 horespower is unusable on the streets. I know what they mean now. I mean you wouldnt even have time to think when you floored it. 405 is enough for me but a ECS kit sure would be nice.

800 is manageable in these cars. The aerodynamics is amazing. Good tires help too...although I run track tires 12 months a year

I have the Yokohama advan AD08 tires 19" and they are perfect for a stock z I think. Well if its not cold out. I couldnt image 800 hp bet it took you awhile to get comfortable with that kind of power
