Thanks guys. Today I got her oil changed, new oil pressure sensor, and new intake manifold gasket. Have to wait till next week for the new window regulator for the drivers side. Then she is off to get her windows tinted. Then about a week or so to get a new Stereo. Then the quest for wheels continues as I wait for these God awful run flats to burn off. Might have to turn off the AH and make a little smoke to help the process along... lol

I have black Cray Scorpions (18 x 9 /19 x 10.5) with the chrome lip just to add some contrast and I really like the look, but I'm seriously looking at the polished CCW 505a now. Plenty of tires in all kinds of price ranges for those sizes, so I don't think you'll be limited at all or pay much, if any more, than you would for the 17/18 setup. I recommend going without run flats too -- less expensive, with a quieter, smoother ride.

Congrats and welcome back! Enjoy the new ride! You didn't say if it's an a4 or m6. But either way, for piece of mind I'd have every fluid on the vehicle drained, flushed(if applicable) and replaced.

Depending on the mileage/condition, maybe the coolant? Bur for an A4 that's probably about it. At least I can't think of any others off the top of my head, except maybe the turn signal fluids.

The dealer wants around 800 bucks to do the coolant, brake, diff, and tranny flushes. Service writer said he would do a 15% discount as a package deal. I told him I bought a new car there last Saturday for my wife and asked if he could sweeten the deal any more and he said 15% would be the best he could do. Sounds ok I guess?

Its really not too difficult to do those yourself, I would pass out if they wanted me to pay 800 for fluids all around, I don't know but that seems like a lot to me.

If you know any other gear heads around it wouldn't be hard to find some assistance.

Congrads on the new ride

It's not just changing the fluids, I was under the impression that you need the equipment to flush each system out to make sure there are no impurities left behind.

Its really not as much too it as some may think, I do all of mine, I just don't do them all at once, Like I would do the brakes when I did other brake work, Rear and tranny at the same time as the oil, cooling system separately, I understand if your wanting to knock them all out at once though, I did the same thing when I first bought my Harley, even though I do all of the maintenance myself now.
There is an abundance of info on every task either on here or on other venues.
enjoy the ride

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help and advice. I don't mind working on stuff, but I work about 70 hours a week so I'm not too keen on spending my weekends doing car maintenance. I would rather drop her off and go have lunch and a beer while they do their thing. Xoxo

Don't mind the dirty car and garage. In the process of getting my house cleaned up for listing and I have had zero time to make her look pretty. I'll get her cleaned up and some decent pics soon. Right now, just a base car with no mods. This time next year she will be looking sweet!

What do you guys think about this? I want quality parts, not cheap crap that rusts or fades, peels, etc. I'd do a search, but the search function doesn't work on my phone
