Fix for F.A.S.T. MAP Sensor Location

This is the kit I was looking into getting a while ago and I ended up just having a local shop in Columbus Ohio take care of it while debating what to do. Big thanks to vettenuts though on the help. I called up Lingenfelter and asked about the kit you used and seemed kind of steep for what is included (no flames plz) without any instructions and Fast wanted well over $100+shipping for their kit. So I saved money by just letting them take care of it while I was working one day. They did a pretty slick job and I’m willing to post pictures. Nothing to fancy but it works and was the problem.

I just purchased this kit. I agree - for the money, it should include some basic instructions, etc. What size drill bit was used to bore out the holes, etc.? What other information is needed to complete the install? It looks simple, but the devils in the details. Thanks.

I just got my kit from Lingenfelter today, and I'm very pleased with their service. It does come with a nice plug and play harness, and a beautiful billet plug that's nicely O-ringed. However, there's no instructions at all, and the picture shown in the first post of this thread doesn't have the sensor in the picture, I guess I'll just have to figure it out, and hope for the best. In all, it's well worth the $66, IMO.

Tony M did a nice write up on the cost equal HP gains. There were some nice gains to be had.
I just have the problem paying $750.00 then having to port it and having to relocate the map so it doesnt snap hitting the firewall.
For the price, They should be just like the AFR heads. Bolt on and go.

If I were FAST, I would plug the hole and include a few feet of vacuum line and a 1/4" vacuum tee to splice into the A/C vacuum port on the drivers right rear of the manifold.

Based on what I found, there is a more optimum location for the vacuum ports, at least for the Vette. Not sure if that in turn would mess up the f-body people though. I didn't place my MAP in the back but came off with an elbow and vacuum line. The setup I used works well, but it is damn ugly

Would love to see a picture with the MAP sensor installed. I have an uninstalled FAST sitting in the garage right now and I was trying to figure out the best way to handle securing the MAP sensor into place for a car that sees 15-16psi of boost... a relocate like this would do that for sure and also allow me to easily swap to a 3bar later on if I wanted to, but it seems like it would look sort of ugly sitting on top of that beautiful manifold.
