Default How

What technique did you use to take them off? I've thought about doing the same, just not sure how to tackle it. Thanks

I used a heat gun to soften up the double sided tape that holds them on and I used a 2 foot piece of fishing line to slip behind without scratching the paint ... in a saw type motion I went back n fourth cutting them away from the car without pulling on the molding n causing a crease .. I can easily get new tape n put them back on the car or sell if anyone wanted them .... as far as for chemicals I used goo gone to help soften the left over glue and I have a mild grade compound to get the aged caked up dirt and then a quick detail spray to make her pretty again .....

Don't hate C5's with BSM's, but love 'em even more without!

Yeah I feel the same way... they serve a purpose n look fine but I just feel the car looks so much cleaner without them ... I love this body style , I'd take another one in another color over a newer body style haha

I've always thought that our cars look better without the moulding.

The question is still valid! 7 days with BSM's is way too long!

Looks better

But you know you just devalued your vette by a couple grand. Think of all those vintage vettes missing parts and how much less they're worth.
