billy, If I was in this situation, I would leave the AIR system in there and use the block off plates and have the codes tuned out... Just my opinion

All I need are block off plates and some bolts. After that I'm good?

The car will be getting a tune soon enough.

A bit further on this, as it appears you are unsure of the install.
The air pump simply pumps air into the manifolds on cold start. Either the tubes need to reach the headers or the system should be disconnected. You won't put block off plates on the end of the air system as the pump will just have no place to pump the air (maybe even overheat?). I completely removed the tubing and pump (somewhat hidden front of car), but the pump need not be physically removed. At very minimum disconnect and plug the vacuum line to the pump.
You do need to cap off where the pump got its fresh air from, and have the AIR system tuned out.

So can the air pump be tuned out with HP tuners? Starting to do some clean up and want to get this out of the way. Thanks for the help

When this system is tuned out, will it still set the Readiness Monitors? (not the MIL light). In NC, depending on year (I think starting in 01), you can only have 1 unset readiness monitor.
