Passenger Legroom versus Driver
Is it just me or is the legroom on the passenger side of the 2008 c6 (I presume all C6's are the same) much shorter than the drivers ? I know there is a fusebox over there but my wife has long legs, and cant stretch them out. My adult sons are 6ft 2 and over and it is even worse for them. Ive chalked it up to "its a drivers car". No amount of seat adjustment seems to help.

The 05 I had, has the same space as the 08 I own now. Like you said, drivers car

Ah well. At least my legs are stretched. Im only 6ft and dont have the seat all the way back. I think if I was 6ft 3 it would still be ok in the driver's seat. Wife hates it as a passenger because of the legroom or lack of it.

Oh yeah.....I rode from Knoxville to Charlotte NC as a passenger in a buddy's 2005 and I can say that for SURE there is less leg room for the passenger. I was cramped and uncomfortable after a couple of hours over there. I am 6'4" and 240 lbs. The driver has more room to lay out your legs...particularly with the auto (which is why I went with it).

I have ridden in a buddy's 06 Vert and had no leg room issues - but I'm rather short - only 6'0.

Do we really need to always pick on us who know the correct color a vette should be. I am beginning to think those who do not have JSB are really envious.

Passenger leg room definitely less. That fact, and the Nav system not always taking me where I "aimed" it, has effectively kept my wife from driving anywhere with me except real short trips to known locations.

i've noticed the same thing. If you have the 1lt seats like I do then that may be the culprit. 6 way power passenger seat would make a difference it would seem, maybe, maybe not... ??

That's funny Wayne . . .
For some reason, I'm thinking that the passenger's side has less room becasue the CPU and some other electronics are under the floor on that side ??
Just a vague recollection . . . .

My wife noticed this the first time she sat in a 2005 C6. She was used to C5 and said there was less leg room in the C6. I got a tape and measured both. The distance from the back wall to the floor was the same in both. The difference was in the thickness of the seat. I don't remember which seats the C6 I measured had but there was less leg room in it than my C5 with power sport seats.

I don't know if the C6 is the same as the C4 in regards to engine placement but the C4 motor was offset in the engine bay by an inch or so to give the driver more leg room. At least that's what I've read in more than one location. It was hard to notice just looking at the engine but it was very noticable in the interior.

All right! Somebody just take a tape measure, go out to the garage and measure it.
I would, but I'm to comfy here on the couch.
Let us know what you find out.

I measured a bunch of different ways and it always came out equal on both sides. Must be something different.
