It does look sweet. I dont like though they dont advertise who its mfr'd by, an actual or est lifespan or a warranty, vague advertising
If you look closely it appears its made by Avery.

3M advised NOT to clearcoat either the 1080 or Ij180 (Controltac).

Avery makes all kinds of automotive-grade vinyl - the stuff sold by Vette Stripes is Avery. So that's not a bad thing...

I take back what I said about decalfx. I just tried to apply the stuff but its way to stiff and wrinkles easily. I wouldn't use it.

Kinda crappy pic (Oct 2010) but I did the roof in one piece (DI-NOC) and the halo in 2. I think I ordered the 48" width and it was just wide enough.

How has it held up? What do you do to maintain it? Is it exposed to the elements a lot? ...

I will have pics tomorrow of my VY with 3M Scotchprint 1080 which was installed by accident today in Ft. Worth. I specifically ordered Di-Noc but when I went back to pick it up (pi$$ed) I was pleasantly suprised to see how nice their mistake looked!
Guess I need to chill a little...

A 3M rep told me the same thing - the Scotchprint 1080 is recommended for exterior applications...

Looking forward to your pics.....

That looks darker than the DI-NOC. I may give that a try when I get back. Looks good. I just pulled the roof off the Z and did it in the house. Not too difficult just need to be patient.

Did you have to remove the halo to install?

Also, the Scotchprint product is made by 3m. http://idsfinishes.com/blog/page/4/

You can buy direct from Ids finishes. No need to clear the dinoc anymore.

Is it matte or glossy? The link above to IDS says the 1080 is glossy, but your pictures look more matte.
Did they give a discount since they screwed up your order (1080 instead of DiNOC)?
