Default Ported my spare LS2 Throttle Body and stuck it on my 06 Coupe

I ported and polished my spare LS2 Throttle Body that I had laying around and put it on my wifes 06 Coupe. I was amazed at how much material that i removed to get it to where there wasn't a HUMP in front of the throttle blade.

Put it on and fired it up! Idle SMOOTH and reved smooth. Took it for a drive and I could tell that it had more Throttle response. No bog, no lag, just more response!

Heres a couple of pictures:

Ported and polished vs STOCK!

Ported and polished TB on the engine:

Did the job on a workmate work bench with a die grinder sporting some cartridge rolls, a flapper wheel, some 240, 380, 600 and 1000 grit wet and dry, some Wenol Metal Polish compound and some Master Formula Metal Polish.

I did the same last winter while waiting for the rain to stop. I spent probably 3 hours with a dremel, assorted sandpapers and metal polish. I too was surprised how much metal had to be removed to get rid of the humps..
Then with the encouragement from a few others DIY'ers I pulled the intake manifold and sent it to Spinmonster for a porting job. I got a lot of satisfaction from those simple mods..
