Tech unhappy about my car on Valet mode -"R" rated

Default Tech unhappy about my car on Valet mode -"R" rated

Brought my 15 for a warranty item to dealership. Put car in n valet mode. Apparently the tech was not happy that he could not work the radio and the following is the transcript from the audio portion of the PDR. The tech has a conversation with another tech while moving car to bay.
"What a f%#ing di#%head"
"What an a$@hole"
"Valet mode, enter code"
"What a pri$k"
"I ain't fixing it"
"He'll be back 50 f%#king times"
"If I can't listen to it, then f$&k you"
"Good luck getting it fixed"
"You can have this ..."
As the car is being guided into bay
"It's crooked as hell"
"It's all under warranty" "bam"!
Nothing on video appeared out of the ordinary
He then tells the tech:
"This d&?khead has the valet mode on the radio"
Other techs response:
"What's valet mode?"
"Where I can't listen to the radio"
"That's some bulls&&it"
"This fu@king pri&eke car not going to be right"
"This is bs" "is there a way to repair it"
"I can program it to make it go away"
"Then I can change it myself where he can't get into it, and say I don't know, maybe you don't know your code"
"Laughter"
All this in less than two minutes.
Unbelievable but true

Wow! I'd be pissed big time. That could cost him his job.....and should! If I paid $70,000+ for a car, and some tech screwed it up on purpose because he couldn't listen to the radio while he pulled it in the bay? I think the dealership owner would want that idiot gone.

The director of maintenance has seen it and contacting his HR about this. Also shop supervisor and service manager.

No sense of pride - and total lack of respect for something earned by someone else - this problem is much more common than you may think

not your car, not your radio, do your job. Want a radio, buy one and have it at your station

I would fire that person on the spot - there are alot of mechanics out there looking for good work who would appreciate the job at a dealership and treat things with respect -

Don't know if there are a LOT of Chevy-trained mechanics - or even ones willing to do the training, but this guy should be fired on the spot.

You can post it on youtube without editing out the profanity. From some of the stuff I've seen on there, I don't think they have a policy against it.

Your OP is why I'm paranoid about taking my car to the dealer. Who knows what really goes on with your car when you drop it off. I've heard too many horror stories.

Now his buddies have him to thank for the rein of crap coming down (or not) on them and the no radio policy....new era gents....cars are listening and recording watch your stuff....
Once he saw it was in valet mode he could have taken it the other way and been employee of the month......reap what you sew....good stuff

unfortunately, at most dealers, techs are hard to replace - I hope it won't be just a meeting with the techs telling them to watch what they say as they are now being recorded...

Was this legal to wire tap them?

Put it on You tube and send a copy to GM. Have them deal with the Dealer! That's BS.....Wonder how many cars he has ran the **** out of on test runs?

I guess I should be surprised.....unfortunately, I'm not. The days where one can trust someone to do what is right---especially when no one is around---- are long gone.

It just seems many people of the past several generations have no respect for another person's property or life. Sadly, this is only the beginning of America's decline.

Nowadays the mindset is one of "all about me"....and to h*ll with everyone else.

Don't give us the name of the dealership....but could you give us a City/State?

While that is true for some court cases, I'm thinking the OP just wants the dealership to do something about it.

If you think this is something, on the M4 forum, a guy took his in for the 1200 mile inspection and his GOVideo recorded the tech hitting 100 mph in a 45 mph zone on an extended test drive. He wasn't too upset but he did show the video to the service manager.
