Default RA-1s on front and CORSA System on back?

C6 R compound tire question

OPTION 1 - Run stock rims with Toyo RA-1s on front and new Pirelli Corsa System tires on rear

OPTION 2 - Run stock rims on front and aftermarket 18 X 10.5s on rear with RA-1s all the way around (figure in cost of buying rims)

What do you think?

I'd go option #2. IMHO 2 different compounds will just cause the handling to vary more as one compound gets sticky/slick while the other may not change at the same rate.

Ya, I have a Corsa catback and all its really for is looks and sound. You'll have more fun with good tires.

Definitely option #2. Don't know what width is for front stock C6 (9.5?), but if the fronts are either 8.5 or 9.5, you can run 275 front/305 rear, a very nice setup.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

Do not try option 1. Corsas do not have the cold grip that RA-1's have. Heated up they will be ccloser but cold might oversteer bad.
