Default HRP Aluminum Seats

Anybody have experience with these? Looks an awful lot like a rebranded Kirkey...

Probably a Kirkey re-branded. Call them and ask them. Look at the Kirkey web site bet the drawing is the exact same seat drawing.

Kirkey Deluxe is $750, too.

Supposed it could be cheaper to get an intermediate or Ultra-Shield and get somebody to weld nice aluminum tabs on the bottom like the deluxe for proper side mounting...

Yeah. I paid a whopping $500 for the fibreglass seat in my RX7... before that I always had the Kirkeys -- but before they ever made a road race model.

The Kirkey Intermediate (Road Race) is quite a bit less than the Deluxe, but I want to use the Hardbar seat mount and the Intermediate seems to want a bottom mount rather than side mount. The Deluxe is designed with the tabs for side mounting.

Are a lot of folks mounting the Ultra-Shield or Intermediate Kirkeys with the side mounts? The seat material seems thin for that...

You can side mount the intermediate seat like the deluxe seat but you will
have to drill into the sides of the seat.

Our seats can be bottom mounted, or you may use the brackets like the composite

also need to be mounted from the back as well.
Thank you

I guess I don't need to worry so much about side mounting the lower cost aluminum seats...

I have two differnt Ultra-Shield seats. My drivers seat is the Pro Delux road race seat and the passanger is the Road Race seat.

Difference is the ProDelux has re enforcing around the back ( about kidney level) and re enforced thigh bolsters.

Both are great seats and easy to mount.

I'm only 5'7" (190lbs !!) so the rib wings always seem to hit me in a bad spot if I don't get a fibreglass seat. (Worse for my wife if she jumps in the car since she's around 5'5" I guess?)

Anybody have experience with the rally seat? Looks just like the road race seat without the rib/armpit killers...
