I have deleted this post. Shouldn't post when your angry. I'm still angry, but it's not going to change anything.

What'd you do, order something Eckler's and it came in a CC box? Or vice versa....?

No nothing that simple. LOL. Just a big mess with mis-information on "in stock" items. I apparently have a different idea as to what that means.

I had a bad experience with CC years ago and still won't do business with them, so I feel your pain. In my case they couldn't tell me what they had in stock but promised "it should be in stock". A week later half the stuff showed back order. I called to add a $2 part since nothing had shipped yet and was told my order couldn't be changed and I had to place a new order and pay $15 S&H on my $2 part. Haven't done business with them since.

I ordered from Corvette Central in the passed, I wasn't happy. There always back ordered. Another beef I have with them is. The price in the catalog is different, when you call the order in over the phone. I like Zip or Volunteer Corvette..

I in this case Ecklers needed 6 days to put 4headlight trim rings in a box and then ship them.
Corvette Central just doesn't have anything on sight, but claims they do.

F#$k Ecklers. They sent me a part that looked like it was kicked around the floor for a while then boxed and sent. They recieved it back over a week ago. They said it was in stock and replacement would be expedited out. Fast forward today. Called to see WTF. Still not sent!!! They say today. Well F U never again!

A while back I ordered a suspension kit from Eckler's. They split the order up into several orders and started shipping parts of the kit, then said the rear spring was on backorder.

I was pissed. Like I need a partial kit! By then I would have to deal with refusing the package or returning it. Ended up buying a spring individually form corvette central and paid more at the end.

I will never order from them again as a result. Hope it was worth it, Eckler's.

+1 for Corvette America. They were awesome when I had a carpet issue, called me several times to make sure I was happy.

Yep, I was impressed by Corvette America as well. I needed 79-82 mounted seat covers, but custom made in a '71 color. They made and shipped them in 3 days.

Those two vendors are still on my "supplier" list; but they are at the bottom of it. If I can find parts ANYWHERE else, that's what I'll do.

Another thing I don't like about CC, you can't split credit cards. Lets say I get 3 Visa gift cards for Christmas or a Birthday and I place an order with CC, they will only allow you to use one card. Or lets say I want put half on the Amex card and Balance an a Visa Credit. None, they won't let you. Corvette Central is the only vendor that won't let you do it. That's another reason I won't buy from them..

I know these vendors are not manufactures but how can companies like Wilcox, Doc Rebuild, and Paragon have such great service while other warehousers keep screwing it up?
My top 3 next to NOS are listed above.

They think that 'volume' will make up for it. But, word eventually gets around. In the end, the customer 'has his/her day'.

wait until you order a steering control valve, and the one they send you is USED!!! in a filthy box, and they won't believe you on the phone as to what happened.

This is good info to know. I won't tolerate bad service or questionable practices, especially if I can get good service somewhere else.

I guess CC and Ecklers are off my list unless things change somehow.

So sad that they don't care and have the mentality that it will not catch up to them due to volume. I always hope it does catch up to those who are poor vendors. It's a free market still, the customers will make their choice.

Corvette America and Zip for me. Been very happy with them. Haven't used the others except Wilcox. Will not use them again.
