Streetable 2002 Corvette Z06 hardtop packs tons of twin-turbo power to haul the groceries home in eight seconds.

You never know what you might find in our CorvetteForum Forums classifieds. There’s everything from unique memorabilia and parts for your project ‘Vette, to complete rides of every vintage.

And speaking of complete, we happened upon this C5 Z06 quarter-mile demon the other day that is looking for a new home to smoke-out. It’s also capable of claimed eight-second quarter-mile times, so there’s that, too.

“Unfortunately, the time has come to part with my 2002 C5 Z06 434ci twin turbo,” says the seller, forum member Chameleon T/A. “This car is an absolute beast!”

And what a beast this Z06 is. The eight-second red rocket packs an 800-horsepower punch with 14 pounds of boost and an unlocked torque converter, allowing it to dominate the scene for a year at its current home of Greenville, South Carolina.

The motor set up is a 434 cubic-inch LS, fully built, with 9.3:1 compression, pistons, rods, a set of Mast Motorsports heads, and ARP everything. This is ideal to handle the TTIX twin-turbo kit. A quick search through the forums shows that 800 WHP is just getting started with this kit.

The car has a mere 16,000 miles on the odometer, while the current powertrain has around 600 miles. It sounds like it’s just been broken in, and is ripe for the taking.

Of course, it’s more than just a monster motor stuffed into a stock C5Z. In fact, it seems our seller has left no stone unturned with this one. A built transmission, suspension upgrades and a wheel and tire package lifted from a C7 Z51 car, this C5 is ready to rock. It even comes with drag strip notes on how to get the most out of it.

This Z06 hardtop was built to handle the daily grind, then let it all hang out on the weekend, all without trying to kill the driver. That’s a winning combination if there ever was one.
