Opinions on these C1/C2 for sale
In the mean time, check these out and if you happen to buy anything I post... please let me know so I can do the Happy Corvette Brotherhood Dance.
***IMPORTANT****
I usually search for cars in the Sub $50K price range, but remember, a car priced below that usually need "something", and I am sure these are no exception...
You have to have a realistic expectation of a sub $50K (and especially sub $40K) car. A lot of first timers have $40K as their magic number. If you are chasing nationally advertised cars (like these on Craigslist), you are often going to be a day late and a dollar short.
As with any classic car purchase, you should hire an expert to look at the car for you or with you. The extra set of eyes that know what they are looking at is invaluable to your car purchase and can help prevent you making a major mistake. This hired gun will normally focus on what is wrong with the car, and they SHOULD have a pretty good idea of the cost to make it right.
Craigslist Usually only keeps the listing for 30 days.... so MOST of the ones on the first couple of pages are long gone, but I have left them up so that folks can get an idea of pricing. Go to the last page of the thread to see if the most current cars are still available. Folks say the market is down, but a reasonably priced C1/C2 usually doesn't last but a week or two.
SCROLL DOWN, I"LL POST EM AS I FIND EM
Lastly,
Your best bet is to join a local club. A local Club will help you to find local deals. Ones that nobody else will know about. And the will often be better cars for comparable money.

I do marketing consignments for customers who don't have time to set up ads for their vehicle or don't use the internet. I charge a flat fee up front and do not collect any consignment fees when the vehicle sells. I am not a dealer. The vehicle remains in the owner's possession. I handle inquiries. When the potential buyer becomes serious, I put them in touch with the owner who can answer specific questions about the vehicle.

Yes, I am back. Had a rough stretch since I was a regular here.
Sold my car.... had some bad investments that prevented me getting a replacement... had to take care of my parents who were in hospice care for about 8 months... then a bit of depression, add in covid... and YIKES!
But I am trying to get back in the saddle, and "raise some funds" for a car.
Last time, It took me about 5 years, but I literally started with $300 (I was a stay at home dad with no income), and morphed that into a 67 Vert that I restored and sold. I am going to try it again, cause I aint' getting any younger. (I am 53 now).
So, I want to start by at least getting active on the forum... so thanks for the "welcome back!"

Don't you think the last one is a little light for a 63 SWC Fuelie??? If it does have all the original equipment and restored in 2006 I would believe the price would be higher but who knows why the current owner has it up for sale.

Also, the wheels, although they look nice are, of course, not original.
It seems more and more C1s are being modified and should not be considered "all stock."
Without knowing more about the car, the price seems about right.

- Repainted in it's Original "Laguna Blue" Color
- 1966 Big Block Hood Installed

EXTERIOR
This corvette was repainted "Laguna Blue" which was the original color since the Paint Code on the Trim Tag is "987". The paint and the body are in excellent shape. The original hood was replaced with a 1966 big block hood. The hood was repainted at the same time that the car was, and it features an understated classy black painted scoop. The Grilles in the hood and under the windshield were replaced with brand new ones. The chrome gas cap was also replaced with a new one.
I believe the Convertible Top is the original one and it's still in very good shape. This car has the "Soft Ray" Tinted Windshield which was a factory option. Both front & back Bumpers are in great shape. The original wheels were replaced with New Rally Wheels and they have BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires on them. All of the tires are P225/60/R15's and they have plenty of tread left on them.
INTERIOR
Overall the Interior is in great shape. The Trim is listed as "STD" on the Trim Tag which means that it originally came from the factory with Black Vinyl Interior. One factory option that this car came with is the "Am/Fm Radio with Power Antenna". . ...both the Radio & the Power Antenna do work. The Dashboard Clock, the Headlights & the Turn Signals also work as well.
MECHANICAL
The engine runs strong. . ...it's been bored .040 over and a slight cam was put in it when it was rebuilt. It's probably putting out about 350 Horsepower. The heads are 327 "Double-Hump" or "Camelback" heads. This could be the original engine but I'm really not sure. . ...I know that the engine Casting# is 3858180, which from what I found means that it is a 1964-1967 327 Block. There's nothing stamped on the front plate of the engine anymore because the block has been decked.
It has an Edelbrock 600cfm Carburetor, Original GM Aluminum Intake, Original Exhaust Manifolds, Original Aluminum Corvette Valve Covers, a New Chrome Ignition Shielding Set, a New Bosch Battery, and a New Chrome Alternator.
The transmission and rear are most likely both original but I don't know enough to verify that for sure. I took some Casting Numbers off of the trans case: "Patent# 3088336", and above that on the same side it says "3885010". . ...then there is a casting for what may be the Date Code which was "P1015". The trans shifts very smoothly into all the gears with no problems, there has been a new clutch installed in it that has less than 3K Miles on it.
The rear was all rebuilt and new axle shaft joints were put in. There is a stamping on the bottom of the rear which starts with "AP" so this was an original 4.11:1 Positraction Rear Car, which was a factory option. There is also what I believe to be a Casting Number for the Date Code on the rear which looks like it says "D125".
The suspension has New Springs, New Shocks, New A-Arm Bushings and New Ball Joints. A New Steering Box and Rag Joint have been installed in this car as well. The brakes have all been replaced and they have New Brake Lines all the way around.
The Exhaust System was completely replaced from the engine on back to the Magnaflow Mufflers & Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips. The exhaust sounds real good too. (You can hear it and see the car run by clicking on the Video Link at the bottom of this ad)
OVERVIEW
This is a very good-looking Corvette that always turns heads. Like I said earlier, a lot of time & money has been put into this car.....it runs & drives great and it is very dependable.
There are no leaks, it doesn't smoke or overheat, and with the 4-Wheel Disc Brakes this Vette stops very well. The frame of the car is very solid. . ...nothing is rusted out.
I put the maximum amount of pictures that Craigslist allows on here which is 24 pictures so check them out.
It's hard to go wrong with certain cars and the Corvette Sting Ray Convertible is one of them. They will always be highly sought-after and this one looks & sounds awesome. . .. . .it would make anyone proud to drive it.
Asking $48000 obo. If you want to check it out or have any questions, call 856-983-1798 and ask for Sonny. Thanks.
This car is in original condition and has never been restored it has been painted. This car runs and drives very nice. Asking $48,500.... not interested in trades. For info Email

And the Saddle Tan coupe was NOT originally delivered with KO wheels. But I love it!
The big problem is that the seller says the car is all original. That car is so far from original the seller has to have Stevie Wonder vision. Why would anyone even say that about that particular car.
