Corvette Named Best Automotive Investment

Corvette Forum Curated

Generally speaking, a new car is not a wise money-making investment. However, some models fair better than others when it comes to total cost of ownership including depreciation. CarEdge uses a proprietary algorithm to compare factors such as resale value, maintenance, repair and insurance costs. Out of 200 vehicle models compared the Corvette ranked as the number one best value. Checkout the full list and detailed assessment HERE.

Must Watch Video: Six Second Split Window

One of the most iconic Corvettes ever made was the 1963 split window. Despite their popularity and value some still fall through the cracks. This particular car has not seen sunlight in over 20 years as it sat in a basement. But this is no ordinary restoration project. This car is going to be getting a huge 711 cubic inch Hemi with a couple of turbos for good measure. The goal is to turn this into a six second drag car.

But one Corvette Forum member is hard at work planning out an epic 8,000-mile road trip to Alaska. A trip like that is exciting for sure, but it does take a lot of planning. Star Studded Celebration: Corvette Museum Turns 70

Corvette Museum

The Corvette Museum is set to celebrate its platinum jubilee this year. Anything that lasts for 70 years is worth celebrating by pulling out all the stops and that is exactly what the Corvette Museum is doing. One highlight is going to be Custom CARisma: The Legendary Creations of Carl Casper. This exhibit will be on display from March 10, 2023, to January 24, 2024. Some of Casper’s most famous creations will be on display including the Batmobile from the 1992 Batman Returns film. Read all about the anniversary HERE.

Must Watch Video: C6 Retro Review

Can the C6 really be nearly 20 years old already? Yup. This review of the then all-new Corvette was originally aired by Motor Week back on August 31, 2004. However, the video was just released to YouTube a couple days ago. During testing they clocked the new Corvette to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and 13.2 in the quarter mile. And while not as quick as the new C8, those are still solid numbers. The C6 remains a fantastic performance car bargain. This video is a great reminder of when it all started.
