Corvette Forum Member Welcomes Iconic New Stablemate

There are certain questions that always come up when you hang out with your car buddies:

“What would you own if you didn’t have a Corvette?”

“What’s your favorite movie car?”

“What car do you consider timelessly cool?”

For Corvette Forum member WackyBob, it seems like his answer was the same for all three. Bob’s garage was already looking pretty good with a solid one-two punch of a ’78 Pace Car and a ’14 Stingray with the Z51 package. Things got even better, though, when he added an iconic black and gold ’78 Trans Am.

Bob has the enviable problem of having too many cars — he also owns a nice pair of BMWs, an X5 and a 6-Series Gran Coupe. He actually had to kick the 6-Series out of the garage for the Trans Am! Look, I love BMWs, and I still have to say that he made the right choice.

As a kid who grew up watching Smokey and the Bandit, the only things I ever wanted out of life were Burt Reynolds’ charisma, a black and gold Trans Am, and a cute gal to ride shotgun.

Bob looks to have nailed the trifecta, since he is apparently married and has somehow convinced his wife to let him buy a four post lift to fit all of his toys inside. Bob, you should offer classes for the rest of us!
