GM Halts Shipment for 2015 Corvettes

If you’re waiting for your 2015 Corvette, you might be waiting a little longer than expected.

GM is temporarily stopping shipment of 2,000 new Stingrays from the Bowling Green, KY plant. The automaker is also telling dealers to halt deliveries on another 800 models already in inventory, according to a USA Today report.

The stop-shipment from the plant stems from a flawed airbag attachment, and the stop-delivery stems from concerns that one rear parking brake cable might have been attached improperly.

GM, however, has stopped short of issuing an official recall on 2015 Stingrays, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one is in the pipeline now.

Either way, we certainly appreciate Chevy’s making sure the cars are up to snuff regardless of how long it takes.
