So, what exactly would prompt you to trade in your beloved Corvette? My guess is that for most here, the answer would probably be another Corvette. And likely a newer model.

But apparently that isn’t always the case. Take, for example, John Fischer of Cicero, New York, who decided to trade in his ’87 Corvette for a pickup, as highlighted in a Syracuse.com report.

“I think I’ve had more fun driving this truck than I did driving my ’87 Corvette,” says Fischer.

Yup, that’s right: a pickup. Which makes you wonder if Fischer was ever a diehard Corvette fan at all.

Before he owned the ’87 ‘Vette, Fischer also owned a ’68 C3. But does a person that’s really a Corvette fan trade it in for a pickup? To Fischer’s defense, the pickup is a 1962 Chevy, which certainly isn’t your typical truck, as illustrated in the photo. And the original story never describes Fischer as being a diehard Corvette fan.

Still, I think the idea that someone would find driving a pickup more exciting than a Corvette is a little odd. But then again, I guess that would all depend on what that person defines as “fun.”
