OPTIMA Presents Corvette of Black Friday
I usually feature new members’ cars on Corvette of the Week, but seeing as this is Black Friday, I wanted to create a “Corvette of the Week Black Friday Edition”.
It also works out perfectly that I would have some images of the sinister C5-Corvette-based Darth Vader car because today Walt Disney Pictures is releasing a special 88-second trailer to build your excitement for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is hitting theaters December, 2015.
This full-size version of the Hot Wheels Darth Vader car was unveiled back in July at the San Diego Comic-Con, but these fresh shots were snapped by my colleague Ed Tahaney at the 2014 SEMA Show earlier this month.
If this is your first time hearing about Darth Vader’s Corvette-based evil-mobile, here are the pertinent specs: it tops out at 80 mph (because who needs to go faster when you can force-choke your adversaries?), and it makes those breathing sounds we all know and love.
Unfortunately, it won’t proclaim that it is your father.
