You don’t need to wait for a leak before swapping out your Corvette’s transmission fluid. Here’s how to do it.

Today’s How-To Spotlight is aimed directly at the transmission of your C5, C6, or C7 Corvette. It’s fair to say that most people remember to change the oil in their cars within the allocated timeline suggestion. But what about your transmission fluid? Are you following manufacturer guidelines for proper maintenance of your gearbox? Based on a completely un-scientific research poll, most people don’t think about a player or play made unless they have a reason to remember it. The same goes with transmissions; we take them for granted.

The transmission, as you can see, is quite complicated. The last thing you want to do is deal with a transmission issue, regardless of the age of your car. From the fifth generation to the current C7 Corvette, swapping out transmission fluid is never going to be extremely hard, you simply need the right tools at hand.
