Should You Store or Drive Your Exotics/Supercars?

Each side of this conundrum has some pretty strong opinions.

Divisions in the car community expand no further than this. It’s the age-old debate of “do you get out there and drive it, or do you keep it preserved?” Some may say the Corvette, by nature, is meant to be out there on the mean-streets, ending fights between domestics and imports. But others are worried about which microfiber towel they use during a Carnauba waxing session. Ask two owners, and for sure, you’ll get two different answers.

Should You Store or Drive Your Exotics/Supercars?

For us here at Corvette Forum, we’re just as torn and undecided. When you drop exotic-car levels of cash on a car, you’re more inclined to keep it in good condition. But at the same time, you’re also intoxicated by the immense levels of power, looking for every bit of open road to pin the throttle. Some are even daring enough to take a ride out in adverse conditions. Why? Because they can.

A similar theory goes for the older, vintage-era rides. You’ll want to keep a car cover handy, but then again, nothing feels better than going out for a drive in a classic.

Since we’re a bit divided on the subject, we’d like you to chime in. Remember, there’s no wrong answers. It’s a bit unfair to tell someone how to properly own a car (if that’s even a thing). If you own it, it is yours to take care of as you wish. We say, to each their own. What do you say?
