This week’s Corvette of the Week comes from “FinalJenemba” whose story has made me appreciate the Corvette even more, which is huge for me because I thought I already had my foot planted pretty firmly on the Corvette appreciation throttle.
While this week’s Corvette of the Week is not the official Sledgehammer (car #51), people commonly mistake “BoostedmaxPSI’s” 1988 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette #57 for the famous Sledgehammer.
Here’s a Corvette of the Week that exemplifies why Corvette fans are among the most passionate group of people on Earth. New forum member “JVH” from Georgia recently picked up this two-tone 1985 C4 in the classic light- and dark-bronze shades. Although JVH has owned this ‘Vette only a few months, he’s been involved in a love affair with this exact car for 18 years.
Earlier this month, “akn224’s” pre-teen dream became a reality when he purchased his first Corvette: a 2004 C5 with only 29,000 miles … not even broken in, if you ask me.
When I was on the Gumball 3000, I really wanted to talk to the owners of this rally-wrapped C7. But as ridiculous as it sounds, I wasn’t able to make it happen over the course of the eight days of the Rally. I’m going to man up take the blame hereābut it was nuts.
