Taking the Z06 Out for Ice Cream with ‘The Hulk’ Riding Shotgun

By -

Giant attack dog is more docile than the powerful Corvette he’s riding in.

Dogs love two things more than anything else: car rides and ice cream. That’s even true when the dog in question is a 180 pound pitbull that looks like it would rather snack on small children than a plastic cup full of soft serve.

This video, shared by DARKDYNASTYK9S on YouTube, features a man and his best friend going for a car ride to pick up some frozen treats. Lucky dog, indeed.

Of course, if we’re writing about it, you know that there’s a Corvette involved. In this case, the Corvette is a bright red C7 Z06 with 700 horsepower. We’re starting to notice something about the owner: they don’t do anything halfway. We’re guessing he’s going to order three scoops for his personal ice cream cone. Maybe a whole quart for the dog.

The giant dog, named, appropriately enough, The Hulk, has trouble fitting in the cockpit of the cramped sports car. You know you’re tough when you’ve got “The” preceding your name. While trying to find his place inside the Corvette, The Hulk accidentally calls OnStar before settling into his seat like a good boy. When the driver rolls down the window, The Hulk looks happy to have the fresh air, and the additional headroom.

The two companions depart, and the camera switches to a chase vehicle. The red Z06 does a flyby on the highway, and sounds pretty mean. Far meaner than the dog, who, despite his massive size, just looks happy to be here.

That all changes once they arrive at the ice cream joint. Upon arrival, The Hulk silently stalks his prey: a kiddie cone of soft-serve vanilla ice cream. It’s oddly fascinating to watch this 180 pound beast of a dog chow down on a treat originally intended for a small child one third his size. The Hulk seems to savor each and every bite of his sugary treat as we watch in slow motion. Riding in a Corvette, windows down, and stopping for ice cream? A dog’s life doesn’t sound so bad to us.
