Offering something for everybody the C3 Corvette came in many flavors – here’s a list of the top 10 notable cars from mild to wild!

The C3 Corvette underwent significant changes during its 15 year run. Some of these changes were bad, like performance choking emissions controls or extra weight due to safety mandates. But more of these changes made the Corvette more livable and enjoyable. Ultimately these changes allowed the Corvette to survive in a difficult time. And with that in mind, we set out to rank the top 10 most notable Corvettes.

This list is not about the most powerful, best, or worst C3 Corvettes. Instead it ranks Corvettes based rarity, noteworthy changes, or what they did to influence the brand.

10. 1980 L-82

1980 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

The 1980 Corvette started the 80’s with a regimen of diet and exercise. A new front and rear fascia lowered the drag coefficient and updated its looks. Additional use of aluminum and revised fiberglass reduced weight by 250 lbs. And while it lost its manual transmission, the L82 engine’s horsepower increased to 230. These changes helped the Corvette stay relevant until the C4 debuted.
