Default Valentine 1 Hardwire Question

Can I hardwire my Valentine 1 Radar Detector and a 9 volt small amplified speaker to the same power lead in the passenger footwell? I'd use the V1 power adapter and a Radio shack 9 volt converter (for the speaker). I do not want to cause any electrical problems. Can I hardwire my V1 to the mirror in a 1998 Vette? If so, how?
Thanks, Adam

This time he's asking if the stock wiring can handle the two devices.

My bad, I guess I read the thread too fast. I always think low amperage accessory wiring is a moot point for anything that isnt an amplifier or lighting.

my apologies

In another thread Patches shared this method of adding an additional circuit if you need one. Just another way to get switched power.

Quote from Patches
Yep. I used a Littelfuse Add-A-Circuit to power my cutouts since my shiftlight needed to be on it's own circuit. That was already taking up the accessory tap next to the BCM. Here are a few pics of my install. (Ignore the last two pics.)
