I own the exact same year as yours. I just shoved mine thru right behind the battery on the firewall...There already exists a grommet with other wires in there. I just fed it thru with a coat hanger first, and electrical taped my power wire onto the end and used it as a poor mans' fish tape.

Someone had slipped with a screwdriver or something once behind my battery and punched a hole. I just made the best out of a bad situation and enlarged the hole with a rasp to fit 4awg.
i just reran my power wire and replaced it with 1/0 and i ran it through the panel behind the pedals, it is lower than the battery but it was the easiest way i could do it without touching the factory wiring cause the 1/0 is not small wire...
