Default Sirius install

I've decided to get Sirius radio, and I'm curious about installation ideas. There are some old threads on this, but I'm wondering which units people have, whether you did the FM modulation or hard wire, and where you put the antenna.

I would like to use the unit both in my '04 vert and F-150, so I'm thinking of the FM link and two antennas.

Thanks all,

I don't know about ther vert, that might me a hard one, you can always inlay a peice of galvanized somewhere because it needs metal to create a plan and on the truck it would be real easy to install it on the roof and go through the third brake light. I have an old setup from about 2 years ago with a modulator, the problem with mine is I don't get FM but the new one's do so go with the modulator so you can still listen to regular radio. Also the new system just have one coaxial to run, and the antennas are getting real slim I believe they are going color coded soon, if not already. Any questions on the install let me know. And good luck.

Here's mine.

It's totally hidden and the audio is connected to the factory HU with a GM10-AUX through the CD Changer harness. the antenna is mounted under the rear fascia on top of the right outside tailight opening with double sided tape.

BRICHC4 and RPOZ4Z,
Thanks, guys, this is great. It looks like I need to get the black box and an antenna for each vehicle, and one reciever that I can move from one to the other. I think just one membership.

Snowy day here in Connecticut, got the day off, good day for shopping.

Thanks again,

When you say you mounted the antenna IN the rear facia, can you be a little more specific? I've seen some other posts with others doing the same. Maybe circle on an exterior pic of a Vette where the antenna is and post the pic. I just bought a Sirius tuner and antenna, and I'm trying to install the antenna in a good location. Thank you very much. - Ryan

ok,

if you look at my sig pic, look at the right rear outside tailight (closest to the AM/FM antenna). I removed the outer tailight and mounted the antenna on top of the lip of the tailight opening (under the fascia) with double sided tape.
works perfect.
