Rear Defroster grid as antenna
its done, works fine. just disconnect both factory wires from the struts. Hook the inner wire of antenna lead to one strut, hook outer shielding to ground.

So i figured it was worth the $8 for an antenna extension cable to find out. and it works better than the factory antenna
It is good you unhooked the defroster leads, I'm not sure but I would think if they were hooked up and turned on, it could fry the FM input on the radio
I wonder if I would get better FM on my C5 this way

Well congratulations. I was one of the naysayers.
Although I'm not sure if this is a testament to the quality of the rear defroster grid in the C4, or to the inferiority of the stock Harada antenna...
