I think the Valentine V-1 is definitely the best. I tried it and the Passport 8500 x50 and decided on the V-1.

Default Valentine One!!

I have had a V1 for 7 years and never got a ticket in that time. The arrows, range, build quality, and resale value are incredible.

8500 and the V1 are the two favorites on this forum.

I bought the 8500.

I think he was just referring to the fact that he thinks it is crazy to sell the v1.

The 8500 came with my car but I will most likely switch over to a V1 once I get some spare cash! This thing has helped me avoid several tickets already, its range is pretty amazing compared to the cheapo radar detectors I've had in the past...

Bought an 8500 and then a V-1, 8500 has been sitting in its box for 8 months now.
