Delphi Roady2 Antenna
First visit to this subforum. Simple question, apologies if it's a dupe. Just got a Roady2. It's installed in my DD (Toyota Sequoia) until this frackin' weather clears up. 
But for road trips in the C5, I'd like to use it there. The question - where to put the little magnetic mount antenna? I know I can just set it on a flat surface inside the car and the nonmetallic body should be no impediment to reception. But the instructions seem to indicate that the antenna requires a square foot metal surface to serve as a ground plane for best function. Any experience/suggestions out there? Thanks.
