Trying to bypass Circuit City
Sorry to be a total bore, but I just need to some direction on installing a self-powered Bazooka base tube. Circuit City wants $150 to install it.
Is there a how to somewhere? What happened to the 'search' feature on this forum? Don't me make go back to CC! I need an 'idiot's' guide. Like what additional parts I need, how to route the cables through the car, where the hole in the fire-wall is etc. Again I realize this is akin to asking Nasa how to light a match, but I need help!

I just tried the search feature, and got 14 hits on "bazooka" alone, so I dont know why you cant use it. I do know it disappeared for a day or so at one time, but it seems to be working at the time of this post. Personally, ive had 6 Southern Audio Services Bazooka tubes over the years. I never bought an amplified version, mainly because I wanted the flexability of being able to take the tube in and out of my car. And for a while, I even used it has a home theater subwoofer, which BTW works pretty good.
I see that you are a forum n00b, thats cool. But in posting a thread, put some general info about your car - year, model, current equipment, so we can help you as much as possible. Bogus has put together a mainly C4 specific thread on basic questions of audio installs, but its a great place to start for upgrading the audio in your vette. At the very least, give it a read.

try that out for size, and maybe you're Search button may show up eventually.
