Hi folks...Having some trouble with my Bose Gold on the '92 convertible. Hasn't worked like it should since I bought the car used. Sounds like the speakers are blown but I checked them visually and they look new. Only the rears work now....nothing from the fronts at all. Must be something loose under the dash but that looks like a real pain to get to. I have a set of factory manuals. Yesterday we replaced the outer door window seals.....what a job! I hate having to pull off door panels from anything!! After that, I'm sure my wife has had enough (she did the passenger side). So...I guess I'm asking if anyone else has had this specific problem with their sound system and can tell me exactly what to look for so I don't have to take the whole darn thing apart and out.
We also have a C3....and I thought that was difficult to work on.
Door panels are about a 10 minute job to pull off (of course first time is about an 45 minutes to learn where every screw is). Most likely the amps in the front are bad, cheap fix through doctor dons radio repair (and worth it). Each door has it own amp in its own enclosure, you will have to pull the door panel then the metal plate (watch the door lock rods, unclip them from the metal plate before you remove it) then take out four 9/32 screws that hold the enclosure in the door, take the enclosure apart (1/4 mm socket) and pull the amp out and send it in for repair, if the amp is good they probably wont charge you but tell them to check it and call you with estimate. I can take the enclosures out of both doors and reinstall them in under 30 minutes.

Those instructions would be great if he had the early model c4 interior.
Have you even looked in the audio section or tried a search of "bose" on the forum? If you post in the right section of the forum, I promise you'll get better answers. Bogus also did a FAQ that is mainly C4 specific posted as a sticky in that section.
